Psalm 37:7
Mighty Servants of God. “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.” Psalm 37:7
Scripture is full of stories of people who had to wait on the Lord to see His plans and promises come to fulfillment. Abraham waited 25 years for Isaac’s birth, David waited 20 years to ascend the throne, and today we are waiting for Christ’s return. Waiting is a faith-building process, causing us to seek God, and allowing Him to mold us for His purposes. How is God shaping you as you wait on Him?
Pray: God, it is easy to see how You shaped Abraham and David as they waited on You. I wait on You now, patiently, trustingly, with a quiet heart, confident in You. Shape my heart, my head and hands, and my habits. Make me a servant leader, like Jesus, in whose name I pray, Amen.
