Luke 5:15-16

Mighty Servants of God. “Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.—Luke 5:15-16

When new opportunities appear, decisions must be made, relationships are strained, and goals must be met, is it your practice to turn to God? Jesus modeled a life of prayer, prayer as a daily spiritual practice, especially as the demands on Him increased. The larger the crowds and the greater His success, the more determined He was to guard His relationship with His Father. This allowed Him to stand for God even when the world turned against Him. What about you?

Pray: Heavenly Father, I confess that at times I try to lead in my own strength. Jesus’ life reminds me that I need to guard my relationship with You, both in times of success and times of stress. Meet with me today, I pray, and align me with Your purposes. I ask in Jesus’ name, Amen.
