Psalm 18:28-29

Mighty Servants of God. “You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall.” Psalm 18:28-29

How tightly do you cling to your accomplishments and possessions? Pride in self-accomplishment frequently pushes God out of the picture as the giver of all good things. God calls us to exchange pride in self for humble thanksgiving and reliance on God. As we daily acknowledge His presence as Creator and Sustainer, we come to trust Him as the source of all our confidence and power. Who are you trusting in today, yourself or God?

Pray: God, today I want to exchange my self-confidence for God-confidence. You are the One who sustains me and brings light to my life. With you, I can overcome any challenge facing me. Thank You for the opportunity to live courageously and confidently, as Jesus did, in whose name I pray, Amen.
