Exodus 3:9-10

Mighty Servants of God. Moses is an example of a man who tried to lead in his own strength, knew the sting of failure and disgrace, and yet was used by God in a mighty way. Many of us know the sense of feeling inadequate, of knowing our own sins, pride, and fear too well to ever believe that God could redeem us and use us. May Moses’ life remind us that God often chooses to work through unlikely people.

“And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.”—Exodus 3:9-10

Prayer: Lord God, redeem our past failures and weaknesses to cause us to depend even more deeply upon You, so that You can use us to point the way to a new way of living and leading. We ask in the transforming name and power of Jesus, amen.
