Micah 6:8

Mighty Servants of God. Do you long to have a good life? Most people do. What does a “good life” look like to you? Does it involve leaving a legacy? Gaining recognition? Your children thinking well of you? Having all your needs met? The prophet Micah reminded the people of his day that God’s definition of good looks different from that of the world.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. – Micah 6:8

Prayer: Lord, reshape my definition of a good life to match Yours. May I promote justice through my actions, treating others as people made in Your image. May I speak up as a voice of justice for all people. May I offer mercy to the hurting and forgiveness to those who do me wrong. Most of all, may I walk humbly with You throughout this day. In Jesus’ name, amen.
