Galatians 6:9

Mighty Servants of God. Scripture is full of examples of perseverance under pressure and of exhortations to keep going when the journey is hard. Jesus dealt with constant opposition, and His earliest followers faced the antagonism of the entire Roman Empire as well as the Jewish religious culture. Jesus-like values and leadership principles stand in opposition to a world system that is focused on self-protection and self-promotion. Yet, we are called to a higher standard than living for the here-and-now. Let us keep our eyes on God’s approval and keep going!

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.—Galatians 6:9

Prayer: Jesus, when the days are long and we are tempted to give up, breathe new life into our souls. Revive our weary hearts, renew our focus, and reenergize our efforts. Help us to rise to the challenges each day holds, we ask in Your life-giving name, amen.
